Wrote a small page (here) yesterday that computes the FAME score for a given situation in Arimaa. Of course it will probably make no sense unless you follow arimaa rather closely. If you haven’t heard of arimaa and ever had any moderate interest in chess you should really go check it out. It’s quite easy to learn and fun, yet still has a great deal of unexplored strategic depth.

Specialist’s have been debating recently on what new game to host on our server. There isn’t really any alternative game besides CS that a significant number of members play. But since we have the power and bandwidth sitting there we might as well use it. So since I’m the one running the beast I’ve been researching some of the different games. (more…)
